quality manufactured products and services. PMC is comprised of three market-focused stand-alone business units:
Transit, Locomotive, and Industrial/Mining.
The
Transit-Division is the market leader for the manufacturer of the
original PCC resilient wheel and a

licensee of Bochumer Verein
Verkehrstechnik for their state-of-the-art transit wheel set technology. Additionally, the division manufactures all types of rail transit gearboxes,
loose gears, axles, brake discs, resilient and monoblock wheels, wheelsets,
and streetcar trucks. It also services and rebuilds rail transit gearboxes
and wheelsets.
The
Locomotive Division is the leading supplier of locomotive gearing and starter gears to the world’s railroads. Its product lines
include the carburized and hardened Super Gear

, a premium product, is recognized as the standard as the railroad industry. Cost-saving
re-profiling services utilizing Cubic Boron Nitride Grinding technology are
offered for GE, and EMD.
The
Industrial/Mining
Division, located at Midwest Gear in Twinsburg, Ohio provides quality replacement gearing,
gearboxes, crane wheels,
pulleys and components to a broad base of heavy industrial markets.

This
business is the licensee of Alstom Air Preheater for new and aftermarket
gearboxes including evaluation and rebuild services. PMC is committed to
supplying its customers with OEM and aftermarket parts, components,
assemblies and serviced on-time and at competitive levels. PMC manufacturing
facilities, including an in-house heat treat department offering total
capability resources.
